Praying Mantis Craft. Great for a bugs or insects study. 

I found this kept my elementary school aged children happily occupied as part of our Insect Theme study unit. I've not found so many crafts that challenge and entertain them them in this way.

To Make:

This craft is relatively straight forward, but you absolutely must make one yourself first in advance of your lesson. You will need to be able to model the it clearly to the students, and they in turn must have the skills to complete it themselves.

In the above photos I printed the two templates onto one piece of A3 paper. If I was to do the craft again I might just print one per A3, to get something twice the size. 

It worked very well with my 6 to 10 year olds.
