Home Computers: 100 Icons that Defined a Digital Generation

A book you will tell accounts is a fantastic illustrated history of computing and associated advertising, but you will pour over in person reliving those early days of computing.
Beautifully photographed by John Short and written by Alex Wiltshire this engaging 256-page visual resource captures the details of switches and early user-interface design, letterforms and logos, and the quirks that set one computer off from another.
My first was a Commodore Vic 20 - not included in the book but the identical Commodore 64 is. My next was an Atari 1024 as it came with a MIDI socket - phenomenal at the time. Its predecessor the Atari 520 is included.
The pages nicely fold out flat for easy viewing / scanning. Although it’s great to be in delicious hardback I would really like this to be available in a digital format so I can share with my students on screen in class.
There is a brief description of each with samples of adverts from the time.

Make a note: Ideal gift for IT Tech support staff!
